I recently moved away from Houston, and was a bit troubled by the decision because my mom is getting older and I worry about her! When I got the call from her that her HVAC had gone out in December of all times, my nightmare had come true… I called Your Air Co after hours and Colleen and Oscar were EXTREMELY helpful, immediately responding with an emergency repair. When I got the bill, I was surprised by how affordable such a quality service can be. I seriously can’t thank them enough!

Our Air has been servicing my heating and air conditioning needs for years. Their technicians are very knowledgeable and friendly and always take the time to explain to me in full detail exactly how my system is currently operating and how I can get the most efficiency out of my units. I have two units that are over 25 years old and I wouldn’t trust anyone else to help me keep them running at peak performance. I know that after this year I will have to replace them due to the freon they use being discontinued, but I feel very confident in Your Air helping me get the best new systems for my home at the right price!

We’ve been using Your Air for two years now and always have had great service. We had them install a new AC system and purchased the maintenance membership. The harsh Houston climate takes a toll on our system but Your Air has always made it out within hours of our initial call. Johnathan is prompt, courteous, and professional. One of the main reasons why we will continue to use Your Air is because they proved to be one of the most ethical AC companies in Houston. They don’t try to over sell the customer. I trust and highly recommend using Your Air.

If you want Houston heating and air service repairs, Your Air Co. is the number one choice. However, you need to know that a lot of these problems are caused by damage to the venting and ductwork. A state-of-the-art ventilation system is virtually invisible or doesn’t make a lot of noise. Yet it is present and requires some maintenance.
The importance of regular maintenance
Why is maintenance of your ventilation so important? The answer is simple. This is what a good ventilation system does for you:
– It effectively renews indoor air.
– It prevents moisture and mold problems from developing.
– It reduces the risk of headaches and irritation of the respiratory tract.
After a while, dust can accumulate in the ventilation wells or the filters become not as effective as before. Without the necessary maintenance, the whole system does not work as well. A poorly maintained system will consume more energy and make more noise.
How to maintain your ventilation system?
Fortunately, maintaining a mechanical ventilation system is not that complicated. Cleaning your ventilation system will help preserve your system. The ventilation system draws indoor air into humid rooms. Fresh air is brought in through the windows ventilation grilles. You can easily help maintain your system yourself. First, clean the fan regularly. The dust that accumulates in the fan is the result of the combination of heat and humidity in the kitchen or the bathroom. The window grilles need to be cleaned thoroughly as well, ideally on an annual basis.
For ventilation channels, it is advisable to call a professional. This task should ideally take place every 5 to 6 years. A ventilation system leaves nothing to chance and automatically manages both the exhaust air and the incoming fresh air. Give your ventilation system a long life with the following care tips: check, clean and replace the filters if necessary. Do it every three months, ideally. Fortunately, this task only takes a minute. Replace electrostatic filters after 15 to 18 months. Have the ventilation balance checked after 8 years by the installer.
